Recordkeeping Innovation was commissioned to develop and implement a number of recordkeeping control and system governance tools to address deficiencies identified as a result our strategic review of the organisation's records management program. Project deliverables included:
Design of the metadata framework was guided by the metadata standard prescribed by the State Records Authority (South Australia), which was modelled on a framework we developed for Primary Industries and Resources of South Australia (PIRSA). We developed a tailored view of the metadata standard, selecting relevant metadata elements at the document, file (folder) and series level. Our selection of elements was guided by our understanding of SA Water's various information resources, sites of records creation, object types generated and security/access control measures, as obtained throughout the initial consultation process. The draft framework was verified with the client.
The design tools developed became an important part of the organisations SharePoint configuration and deployment.
