Australian Digital Health Agency
Information Governance framework
The Australian Digital Health Agency is responsible for the national digital health strategy, designing, developing, delivering and operating the e-health system. The Digital Health Agency’s responsibilities require a robust information governance framework to mitigate risks of loss or unauthorised information access, protect privacy and demonstrate its compliance with government standards. Digital Health’s activities are data intensive. It must handle sensitive information, engage with stakeholders and develop information policies supporting its key responsibilities.
Recordkeeping Innovation established information governance protocols and processes to meet its recordkeeping obligations, and identified what was required to deliver information and records services across multiple locations. Our project involved extensive consultation across a group of sophisticated, data savvy stakeholders, providing a corporate access approach, policies and a strategy to acquire appropriate technology to support the agency during rapid growth.
