Knox Grammar School

Records and information management strategic review
Knox Grammar School is an independent private school for day and boarding students, run by the Uniting Church located in Wahroonga, Sydney. With approx. 2000 students, the school campus includes an aquatic centre, sports facilities, gymnasium, music and drama centres, boarding houses, sporting fields and agricultural facilities. The school operates an active alumni association for graduates and maintains an archives department which holds historical collections.
Knox Grammar engaged Recordkeeping Innovation to assess how physical and digital records are managed across the School. We made recommendations for an information governance framework. The assessment involved appraising business systems, current policies and documentation; reviewing recordkeeping governance, reporting and accountability, retention rules, training and staff communication on recordkeeping. The recommendations were addressed in an action plan taking a phased approach that detailed a program of work over the following key areas:
- Information management governance;
- People and processes, and
- Technology
